You miss your beloved porridge in your gluten-free low-carb diet? As of today no problem! With this dry mix you can quickly and easily prepare a delicious and healthy warm porridge.
The composition of tender golden flax seed flour and fine almond and coconut flour is pleasantly mild and has a rather neutral taste – just like porridge “without everything”.
The porridge can be refined with nuts, fruits and seeds as desired and can also be sweetened or salted if desired. (Tip: For an already refined product, take a look at our other variety “walnut-cinnamon”)
A large portion (270 g) contains only 0.9 g of carbohydrates and 69 kcal – but instead a whole 10 g of fibre and 5.5 g of protein, which means that even a single portion is very satiating. Perfect for having something light in your stomach in the morning that is not heavy and lasts a long time.
Enjoyed pure (preparation only with water), this porridge is also particularly gentle on the stomach: the mucus polysaccharides contained in the golden linseed have a soothing effect on the gastrointestinal tract and can be used effectively to treat** irritations of the stomach and intestines. In addition, these swelling agents absorb large quantities of water and thus support intestinal activity in a natural way.

PREPARATION FOR 2 SERVINGS (approx. 540 g):
1.) Mix 35 – 40 g Breakfast Porridge Mix with 500 ml water or mik in a pot.
2.) While stirring boil up briefly and refine with sweetener and spices of your choice.
3.) Enjoy warm.
TIPPS FOR VARIATIONS:
Depending on the preferred texture the ratio of dry mix and liquid can be varied, e.g. less liquid for a thicker texture.
Different liquids such as almond milk, coconut milk or a mixture of heavy cream and water can also be used for the porridge.
Very tasty: refine the porridge with butter or coconut oil. Simply add it while boiling and mix well.
Cereal porridge: Mix the prepared porridge with 2 – 3 TBS Dr. Almond Cereal Magic.
Fruity breakfast: the breakfast porridge goes well with fruit spreads prepared from Dr. Almond ready-mix for low-carb fruit spread.
Before serving: sprinkle with coconut flakes, chopped almonds or nuts, chia seeds, fresh berries or nut butters.

Great porridge, can be made hot but also just whisked with cold milk which I prefer in summer. I wish it would be without coconut. I hate the flavour of coconut. However, if you add a little bit of the Christmas Magic VANILLA CRESCENTS Christmas Cookies baking mix, you won’t taste the coconut flavour. It adds a lovely vanilla flavour which I love. I wish Dr Almond would make a Breakfast porridge without coconut in it. I love it that this product has no added sweetener. I would give it 5 stars if it wouldn’t contain coconut. Very quickly done in the morning. Just add cold milk, stir and it’s ready to eat.

So…I must admit I bought for the first time in 2021…Made it and disliked it so much I wanted to throw it away. Somehow I kept it and while I was doing check of kitchen shelves in August 2024! I found it and tried it again with no hope: 40g/ 15g erythritol/5g cinnamon/70ml almond milk/50g water. Boiled in microwave. And the taste? Absolutely delicious and satisfying. Reordered this month. My new favourite breakfast
