Dr. Almond breads are gluten free protein bread made of 100 % natural ingredients. Our most important ingredients are de-oiled flours of nuts and seeds, which are low-carb, gluten free and high in protein by nature. Nut- and seed flours are also high in fiber, minerals and vitamins.

All Dr. Almond breads have LESS THAN 3 % NET CARBS! (a conventional wheat bread has more than 40 %!)

The protein in our bread consists of plant protein (from nuts and seeds) and protein from free-range egg white.

DO WE REPLACE CARBS BY FAT??

Definitely NOT!!!

Our bread have a low to moderate fat content of 2 –  12 % (depending on content of seeds) and are LOWER IN CALORIES than conventional, wheat-based breads:

On average, our breads have 100 – 200 kcal per 100 g, a conventional wheat bread has about 240 kcal per 100 g!

There are many gluten free breads on the market, but most of them contain different types of starches (potatoe, maize, tapioca…) and are even higher in carb content than grain based bread. In addition, the gluten is replaced by chemicals and polymers like hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.

There are many low-carb breads on the market, but most of them contain THREE TIMES as much gluten compared to grain based bread because PURE GLUTEN (“vital wheat gluten”, “vital wheat protein”) is added! Apart from the fact that gluten is TOXIC FOR ANYONE (not just for celiacs!) and the toxicity is dependend on the dimension of exposition, those breads taste more like a cardboard box than a bread.

BUT ITS A BAKING MIX!?! I CAN NOT BAKE!

Don’t worry, Dr. Almond baking mixes are incredibly easy to prepare! If you know where your kitchen is (and if you have an oven) you can do this!

You need to do just 4 simple things:

1.) preheat oven

2.) pour a specific amount of water into a mixing bowl

3.) pour in the baking mix and stir

4.) form a loaf or buns and throw them into your oven

….WAIT until it is done and then … ENJOY!
